(KBSI) The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is planning a nighttime lane closure on U.S. 62 in Marshall County near Truck Plaza Lane on Sunday, Aug. 17, as part of a project to retire a 161-kV overhead transmission line.

Between the hours of 4 and 7 a.m., eastbound traffic on U.S. 62 will be reduced to one lane between mile point 8.79 to 9, or from the beneath the I-24 overpass to just before Truck Plaza Lane.

To safely complete the work, traffic on U.S. 62 will be blocked near mile point 9 for about 15 minutes as old lines are removed.

Route J in Stoddard County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

This section of roadway is located from Route F to County Road 237 near Bloomfield, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Aug. 18 through Wednesday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
