Orange Barrel Report August 26
(KBSI) Route W in Scott County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Route 77 to County Road 413 near Oran, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place from Tuesday, Sept. 2 through Thursday, Sept. 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
The KY 453 Canal Bridge near the Livingston-Lyon County line will be closed to all traffic on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, for a scheduled inspection.
Due to current weight restrictions, the bridge must be closed during the inspection process to ensure safety.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) crews will use an under-bridge inspection vehicle (UBIV) and climbers to perform a thorough, hands-on inspection.
The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic at about 3 p.m.
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning lane restrictions on U.S. 60 in McCracken County, starting Thursday, Aug. 28.
For approximately two weeks, both eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane between mile points 1.4 and 2.
Work will be near the transition from four lanes to two, between KY 1154/Hobbs Road and Queensway Drive. Crews will be working in the left-hand (or passing) lanes to build a crossover that will allow traffic to shift during upcoming phases of the U.S. 60 realignment project.
The lane restrictions are expected to be lifted on or about Sept. 10, when traffic will begin utilizing the newly constructed crossover and diversion.
