Orange Barrel Report August 27

(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has reduced speed limits along KY 135 in Livingston County. Signs are being installed today.

A new 35-mph speed limit is now in effect on KY 135 from near Fleet Street to just beyond the Main Street/First Street intersection, or about mile points 11.3 to 11.85, in Carrsville.

Additionally, KYTC has designated two 45-mph transition zones extending a quarter mile before and after the 35-mph speed zone.

Approximately 101 vehicles travel this section of KY 135 in an average day.

Route 25 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as construction crews perform bridge maintenance.
The section of roadway is located between Route 77 and Route 74 in Dutchtown, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Sept. 2 with an anticipated completion date of Tuesday, Dec.1.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place to guide traffic. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
