(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will temporarily close a section of KY 1837/Old Lovelaceville Road starting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, weather permitting.

The road will be closed to through traffic between Womble Road and Gholson Road. A crew will be replacing a pipe near mile point 1.7.

Work is expected to be completed by 2 p.m.

Motorists are asked to self-detour.

Route HH in Scott County will be reduced as contractor crews perform ditch repairs.

This section of roadway is located at the intersection of Route HH and Ingram Road in Sikeston, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place from Monday, Jan. 12 through Friday, Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
