(KBSI) A lane closure remains in place along 3rd Street in downtown Paducah as utility work continues. Atmos Energy crews are boring two natural gas mains perpendicular to the roadway.

The work zone extends from Washington to Monroe streets (mile points 1.9 to 2.34). Crews are currently working near Broadway and moving toward Monroe.

Motorists should continue to watch for signs and flaggers directing traffic in the work zone. Please use caution.

Route J in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform drainage repairs.  

This section of roadway is located from County Road 413 to County Road 437 near Bloomfield, Missouri.  

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Feb. 17 through Friday, Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. 

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
