(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Marshall County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to temporarily close a section of KY 1445/Dogtown Road on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The road will be closed to through traffic between E. 21st Street and Oak Grove Circle in Benton. A cross drain will be replaced near KY 1445 mile point 2.7.

The work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to self-detour.

Route U in Stoddard County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace several culverts under the roadway.  

This section of roadway is located from Route H to County Road 661. While work is underway, this road will be open to local traffic only.  

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Feb. 24 through Thursday, Feb. 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.  

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
