CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — Widespread flooding from recent severe weather has forced multiple road closures across southeast Missouri and western Kentucky, creating travel issues and raising concerns about damages.

In Missouri, Route P to Route 77 in Cape Girardeau County is closed due to high water. In Dunklin County, flooding has shut down Route E from College Avenue to Vandever Street in Kennett. In Butler County, Route N is closed between County Roads 243 and 231.

Kentucky has also seen extensive road impacts. In Crittenden County, KY-1917 at Wolf Creek is closed due to flooding. Livingston County officials reported high water has shut down KY 917, also known as Tucker Temple Road. In Graves County, KY-348 is impassable near the McCracken-Graves County line, while KY-295 in Lyon County is closed near the entrance to U.S. 62.
