Orange Barrel Report January 21

KBSI FOX23 News at 9 p.m.

(KBSI) An earth stabilization project planned on KY 70/Tiline Road near mile point 4.7 east of Smithland, originally scheduled to begin this week, has been delayed due to anticipated wintry weather.

Once the project begins, a lane restriction will be put in place and a KYTC contractor will repair a slide along the roadway embankment. Work could start as early as Monday, Jan. 26, weather permitting, and is expected to last approximately two weeks.

The work zone is located about two miles west of KY 2232, between Kristy Drive and Dodds Taylor Road, in Livingston County.

A temporary traffic signal will be installed to manage alternating one-lane traffic. The lane restriction will be in effect 24 hours a day until the project is complete.

Route 158 in Butler County will be closed as contractor crews replace the bridge over Craven Ditch.

This section of roadway is located from County Road 341 to County Road 339 near Harviell, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will begin on Monday, Feb. 2 at 7 a.m. with anticipated completion on Sunday, May 3. The closure will be in place 24 hours daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
