(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will temporarily close a section of KY 1837/Old Lovelaceville Road starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, as crews replace a pipe near mile point 1.95.

The road will be closed to through traffic between Womble Road and Gholson Road.

Intermittently over the last two weeks, crews have been working in this area to make necessary roadway repairs.

Work is expected to be completed by 2 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to self-detour.

Route 114 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

This section of roadway is located from County Road 731 to Route KK near Essex, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Jan. 6 through Friday, Jan. 9 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
