(KBSI) — Roadwork in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties will cause lane closures starting next week.
In Cape Girardeau County, Route 61 will be reduced to one lane from Brittany Drive to Wilson Road for drainage repairs. Lane closures will occur overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work is expected to begin June 30 and be completed by Oct. 31.
In Scott County, Route M will be reduced to one lane from Dames Avenue in Chaffee to Western Avenue in Scott City for bridge maintenance. Work will take place from June 23 to Sept. 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Additionally, a nighttime work zone lane restriction on Interstate 24 westbound in McCracken County, Kentucky, began tonight at 7 p.m. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be leveling the roadway in the left-hand lane from mile marker 5 to the I-24 Ohio River Bridge.
