(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has closed KY 1124 in Graves County near mile point 5.6 due to a failed cross drain.

This is along KY 1124 between Darnell Road and Samuel Drive on the Graves-Calloway County Line.

Repairs will be scheduled.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) McCracken County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to close a section of KY 994/Old Mayfield Road, north of the community of Freemont, on Monday, June 30.

A crew will replace a cross drain along KY 994/Old Mayfield Road between KY 1288/Lebanon Church Road and KY 999/Krebs Station Road, or mile points 2.7 to 3.8.

Work will start at approximately 7 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 2 p.m., weather permitting.

A nighttime lane restriction for a micro-surfacing project on Interstate 24 westbound in McCracken County has been temporarily lifted through July 6 to accommodate for increased traffic during the week of the July 4th holiday.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has completed the leveling course in both westbound and eastbound directions between Exit 16 and the I-24 Ohio River Bridge.

The next phase of the project will be micro-surfacing, which will begin on or about July 7.
