CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to implement overnight lane restrictions and intermittent rolling roadblocks June 9, 10 and 11, along two sections of Interstate 69 in Graves and Fulton counties to facilitate roadway equipment installation.
The work zone locations and current schedule are as follows:
June 9 & 10: I-69 at mile point 24.2 in Graves County, between Exit 24 (KY 121) and Exit 25 (U.S. 45) at Mayfield. It will impact northbound traffic on Tuesday, and southbound traffic on Wednesday.
June 11: I-69 at mile point 3.15 in Fulton County, north of Exit 2 (KY 307) at Fulton. This will impact northbound traffic only.
The work is scheduled to take place nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Motorists should be prepared for one-lane traffic in the work zone and possible delays. Law enforcement will be on-site to assist with traffic control during intermittent rolling roadblocks, when slowed or stopped traffic is likely.
Route Y in St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Route D to Interstate 55 near Bloomsdale, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
