CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) Route 143 in Iron County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.
This section of roadway is located from County Road 161 to County Road 163 near Des Arc, Missouri. While work takes place, the road will be open to local traffic only.
Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, March 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative (JPEC) is planning a temporary power outage at the intersection of KY 725/Woodville Road and KY 1154/Hobbs Road in West Paducah, on Thursday, Mar. 26, to replace a power pole.
The outage will begin at about 7 a.m. and end by 5 p.m.
During this time, the beacon at the intersection will be out. Motorists should obey posted stop signs and use caution when entering the main road.
As a reminder, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has now closed KY 1099/7th Street at its intersection with KY 125/Union City Highway, or at mile point 2.269, in the city of Hickman (Fulton County).
Motorists will also encounter one-lane traffic via an alternating traffic light on KY 125/Union City Highway at this intersection, or near mile point 5.4.
Construction has begun on a new box culvert. Work is expected to last until about mid-July for this first phase, weather permitting.
