CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Northbound Interstate 55 in Scott and Cape Girardeau Counties will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews construct bridge barrier walls.

This section of roadway is located from Mile Marker 89.6 to Mile Marker 105.6.

Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, May 13 through Monday, June 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. While work is underway, drivers should anticipate short, intermittent lane reductions.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

A KYTC contractor plans to implement overnight rolling roadblocks on Interstate 69 at mile point 23.13 in Graves County on Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15, for equipment installation.
This is between Exit 22 (KY 80) and Exit 24 (KY 121) at Mayfield.
Work hours: Between 9 PM and 6 AM nightly, weather permitting.
Be prepared for possible delays. Multi-lane rolling roadblocks will be possible and slowed or stopped traffic is likely.
