CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) —Bloomfield Road in Cape Girardeau County will be closed as construction crews perform bridge maintenance.  

This section of roadway is located from Siemers Drive to Cape West Crossings in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. with completion anticipated Friday, June 5. The road will remain closed while work is underway.  

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area. 

A portion of Route 162 in New Madrid County will close Tuesday, June 9, as construction crews replace a culvert beneath the roadway.

The closure will affect Route 162 from County Road 417 to Route TT near Portageville.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs and urges motorists to use caution while traveling through the area.
