Orange Barrel Report September 11

(KBSI) A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a daytime work zone at the Interstate 69 Exit 25/U.S. 45 Interchange in Graves County on Sept. 17 and 18, to install high mast lighting poles.

To accommodate this work, ramps exiting and entering I-69 at U.S. 45 will be intermittently closed.

Weather permitting, crews will be working near the ramps on I-69 southbound on Wednesday, Sept. 17 and near the ramps on I-69 northbound on Thursday, Sept. 18.

A right-hand lane restriction may also be necessary near the active work area on I-69 between mile points 24.5 and 25.5 and on U.S. 45 between mile points 19 and 19.2.

Southbound Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge maintenance at mile marker 93. The on ramp from Route 74 will also be closed during repairs.

This section of roadway is located at mile marker 93 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place from 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 to 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29.

The work zone will remain in place until repairs are completed and will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
