Orange Barrel Report September 16

(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Marshall County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to temporarily close a section of KY 1311/Slickback Road between KY 58 and Riley Road on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

A crew will replace a cross drain at mile point 5.7. The work is scheduled between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The Whitehaven Welcome Center Tourist Office is closed until further notice due to maintenance work.

During this time, tours will not be available. However, this will not impact access to the rest stop facilities.

Located off Interstate 24 at Paducah Exit 7, Whitehaven is the only historic house in the nation serving as a welcome center.

The antebellum home, originally built as a farmhouse in the 1860s, became an official state welcome center in 1983 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
Route 51 in Butler County will be reduced as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

This section of roadway is located from Route FF to Route 60 near Fisk, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
