SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — U.S. Route 62 in New Madrid County will be reduced as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

This section of roadway is located from Route 25 to Route W.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Sept. 21 through Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Work is underway to replace the northbound I-180 bridges over Bureau Creek and Tiskilwa Bottom Road. Built in 1967, these bridges are getting a much-needed upgrade. The $24.2 million project is on track to be completed by the end of the year.

If weather allows, motorists should expect a lane restriction on Thursday, Sept. 17, on U.S. 60x/3rd Street (Downtown Business Loop) at its intersection with Broadway in Paducah, for utility roadway repairs.
It will remain in place overnight to allow the concrete to cure, but is expected to be lifted by by 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18.
