Orange Barrel Report September 5

(KBSI) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Carlisle County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to temporarily close a section of KY 1203, between Hayes Road and U.S. 51 N, starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9.

A crew will replace a cross drain near mile point 6 at Gray Creek.

Work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to self-detour.

The speed limit on U.S. 60 in west McCracken County has been reduced to 45 mph between Wren Road and Ashland Avenue. This change is in preparation for the opening of a traffic diversion as part of the ongoing U.S. 60 realignment project near Kevil.

New signage is being installed at mile points 0.7 and 2.2, where a crossover is being constructed that will allow traffic to shift during upcoming phases of the project.

Lane restrictions remain in effect on U.S. 60 between KY 1154/Hobbs Road and Queensway Drive. The diversion is expected to open to traffic on or around September 10, weather permitting.

Route DD in Dunklin County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

This section of the roadway is located from County Road 228 to Route 53 near Campbell, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Sept. 8 to Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
