(KBSI) Due to an equipment delay, the cross drain replacement project on KY 1529 in Hickman County has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 10.
The section of KY 1529 between U.S. 51 and the KY 2209/Howell Road intersection is expected to be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close KY 1382 at mile point 2.85 in Graves County today, Monday, Sept. 8, to allow for bridge demolition and repairs.
The closure is located on KY 1382 between KY 94 and the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line. Crews will be rehabilitating the bridge over Powell Creek.
Demo starts today, with repair work scheduled to start Thursday. The project is expected to be completed in about three weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to self-detour.
Eastbound Route 72 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews perform concrete pavement repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Lee Avenue to Route 25 in Jackson, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place overnight during two consecutive weekends, including:
7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12 through 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15
7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 through 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22
The repairs will be completed in the outside eastbound driving lane. The lane closure will remain in place around the clock to allow the concrete to cure, and motorists should anticipate an active work zone during the overnight hours.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
