Over 50 students partake in Keep Carbondale Beautiful clean up

CARBONDALE, IL (KBSI) – Over 50 students from Southern Illinois University Carbondale joined a clean effort from Keep Carbondale Beautiful.

Keep Carbondale Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. The nonprofit organization initiates, plans, and directs efforts in litter control, recycling, and environmental education. Today’s event was the Green Earth Clean-up from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Attucks Park Pavillion. Some groups from SIU Carbondale include representatives from the Panhellenic Council, the National Association of Black Engineers, the Black Men’s Coalition, and the Black Law Students Associations.
