Overnight paving to cause lane reduction on Route K in Cape Girardeau County

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Motorists traveling on Route K in Cape Girardeau County should expect overnight lane reductions beginning June 29 as crews complete asphalt paving work.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Southeast District, Route K will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction from Michael Drive to County Road 206 near Cape Girardeau.
Weather permitting, construction crews will work nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Monday, June 29, and continuing through Monday, July 20.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area, watch for workers and equipment, and expect potential delays during overnight hours.
The restrictions are part of an ongoing roadway improvement project in the area.
