MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – Drivers traveling through Marshall County should expect overnight lane restrictions and intermittent rolling roadblocks on portions of Interstate 24 and Interstate 69 next week.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the traffic impacts are scheduled nightly from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., weather permitting, to allow crews to install roadway equipment.
The work schedule includes:
- June 29: Eastbound I-24 near mile marker 19, east of Exit 16.
- June 30: Westbound I-24 near mile marker 19, east of Exit 16.
- July 1: Northbound I-69 near mile marker 50, south of Exit 51.
- July 2: Southbound I-69 near mile marker 50, south of Exit 51.
Motorists should be prepared for one-lane traffic through the work zones and possible delays during intermittent rolling roadblocks. Law enforcement officers will be on site to assist with traffic control when traffic is slowed or temporarily stopped.
Drivers are urged to slow down, watch for crews and use caution while traveling through the work zones.
