Paddlefish season officially opens in Missouri
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – In a sign of warmer weather to come, Missouri’s annual spring paddlefish snagging season is now underway.
Thus year, the season began yesterday and will run through April 30.
The Missouri Department of Conservation says paddlefish can grow seven feet and weigh more than 100 pounds.
To take part, a permit is required, unless exempt, and the daily limit is two.
