Paducah detectives arrest two people after seizing over 3500 fentanyl pills

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A drug investigation led to officers seizing over 3500 fentanyl pills.
According to Paducah Police Drug Detectives they received information in August on the sale of fentanyl.
An investigation determined that Sheila A. Shumpert age 58 years old, of Levin Avenue was selling fentanyl pills in the Paducah area.
Shumpert was arrested during a traffic stop which resulted in officers obtaining a search warrant for her home.
Upon searching Shumpert’s home Detectives saw Lavance Davenport Sr. age 48 leave out of the back door and attempt to hide in an outbuilding.
More than 3,500 fentanyl pills were found inside the home.
Shumpert and Davenport were both arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail facing charges for selling fentanyl.
