Paducah hosts state secretary of economic development at P.I.P. breakfast
PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI)- On Thursday, the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Power in Partnership breakfast.
An event that illuminated the current growth of the city.
“I don’t know how you would leave here today without being inspired and proud,” said Chamber President Sandra Wilson..
Thursday’s breakfast played host to the Kentucky State Secretary of Economic Development, Jeff Noel, who had many positive comments regarding the current state and future of Paducah.
“You have made a clear-cut statement and that is we are a great community, a wonderful community with the wonderful spirit of winning. Winners never sit on their laurels, winners are always saying ‘How can we do better, be better, and achieve more,” asked Noel.
Noel spoke on the state of economic affairs in the region and within the Commonwealth.
Added Noel: “Last year alone our average wage before benefits were being incentivized was $26.58 an hour. So, we’re doing a great job creating the earning.”
