PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A Paducah man was arrested Monday night after deputies said he left a disturbance at a bar, failed to stop for law enforcement and backed his vehicle into a sheriff’s cruiser.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called about 7:45 p.m. Sept. 1 to Charlie Joe’s Bar and Grill, 5925 Old U.S. Highway 45, for a report of an intoxicated man. As deputies arrived, they saw a silver Toyota Tacoma driven by 63-year-old Jeffrey Bunch leaving the business.
Deputies said Bunch did not stop when signaled and drove a short distance before pulling over. After stopping, he put his vehicle in reverse and struck a marked sheriff’s office cruiser.
Bunch was removed from the truck and detained. Deputies said he was intoxicated, driving on a suspended license and had multiple prior DUI arrests.
He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (fourth or subsequent offense), first-degree criminal mischief, driving on a DUI-suspended license, second-degree disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication in a public place (first and second offense), resisting arrest and failing to yield the right of way.
