PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A Paducah man was arrested Wednesday following a drug trafficking investigation, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives said they began investigating after receiving information that a local individual was distributing methamphetamine. Authorities identified the suspect as Larry L. Hughes, 64, of Paducah.
During the investigation, detectives conducted multiple controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Hughes, officials said.
On March 25, Hughes was arrested at a residence on North 22nd Street with assistance from the Paducah Police Department. Investigators then executed a search warrant at the home, where they said additional evidence of drug trafficking was found.
Hughes is charged with three counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, second or subsequent offense, as well as possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities said Hughes has prior convictions related to drug trafficking and was out on bond for drug-related offenses at the time of his arrest.
He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
