Paducah man arrested following methamphetamine, oxycodone investigation

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A Paducah man faces multiple drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office Drug Division.

Detectives began investigating 46-year-old Jesse Bealmear on Aug. 12, according to the sheriff’s office.

During the investigation, detectives used a cooperating source to conduct controlled purchases of suspected drugs from Bealmear. Authorities said approximately 26 grams of suspected methamphetamine and several oxycodone pills were purchased during the investigation.

On Aug. 24, detectives conducted a traffic stop and arrested Bealmear as he was leaving a camper on Shemwell Lane in Paducah.

Detectives then executed a search warrant at the camper, where they reported finding a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Bealmear was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine over 2 grams, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to notify the Kentucky Department of Transportation of an address change.

He was also arrested on two outstanding warrants related to the investigation.

One warrant charges Bealmear with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance involving oxycodone in connection with an Aug. 12 investigation. The other charges him with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance involving less than 2 grams of methamphetamine in connection with an Aug. 20 investigation.

Bealmear was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
