PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A Paducah man wanted in connection with a violent domestic assault has been located and arrested, police said.

The Paducah Police Department announced that Christopher J. Williams, 35, was taken into custody following an investigation and public assistance. Police thanked the community for providing information that helped lead to his arrest.

The arrest stems from an incident reported Dec. 27, 2025, when officers were called to the parking lot of a local hospital for a reported assault. Officers met with a female victim, who said she had been assaulted earlier at a residence in the 900 block of North 10th Street by Williams, with whom she was in an intimate relationship.

Detectives learned the assault began late in the evening of Dec. 26, when Williams allegedly punched the victim multiple times, stabbed her several times and strangled her to the point she could not breathe. Police said the victim was able to escape the residence early the next morning and drive herself to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives and the Paducah Police SWAT team later served a search warrant at the residence but discovered Williams had fled prior to their arrival. An arrest warrant was issued, and police sought the public’s help before locating him.

Williams was wanted on charges of first-degree assault (domestic violence), first-degree strangulation and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
