MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Paducah man wanted on charges stemming from an investigation in McCracken County has been arrested in San Diego, California, authorities said.

Ryan Conn, 41, of Paducah, Kentucky, was taken into custody Jan. 24, 2026, by Port Authority Police and U.S. Customs and Border Protection pursuant to a McCracken County arrest warrant.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said it began investigating in January after receiving a tip from McCracken County Public Schools alleging that a volunteer wrestling coach may have been involved in a sexual relationship with a student. Authorities said the alleged activity occurred nearly a year earlier, when the victim was still a student.

Detectives interviewed potential victims and seized digital evidence, which led to the issuance of an arrest warrant and a search warrant. The search warrant was executed at Conn’s Paducah residence on Jan. 23, 2026.

Federal authorities located Conn about 24 hours later. He will be extradited to McCracken County following completion of the extradition process.

Conn is charged with two counts of voyeurism, two counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual act by a minor over age 12, and one count of official misconduct.

The investigation remains ongoing. The sheriff’s office said it was assisted by McCracken County Public Schools, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Port Authority Police.
