Paducah man arrested on child pornography charges

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Internet Crimes Division. Assistance was requested to help identify an individual who was believed to live in McCracken County area.

Their investigation pertained to online child pornography.

Ironically, on the afternoon of December 3rd, the individual in question, identified as Nathanial S. Faugno age 22 of Paducah, entered the McCracken County Courthouse and applied for a Court Security Officer position at the Sheriff’s Office.

This allowed detectives to positively identify Faugno as the suspect in the online child pornography investigation.

The investigation continued until Thursday morning when Faugno returned to the Sheriff’s Office under the impression, he was there for an employment interview.

Faugno was taken into custody at this time while a search warrant of his residence was executed.

Numerous electronic devices were seized along with a small-scale marijuana grow.

Faugno was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail and faces charges of Possessing Matter Portraying Sexual Performance By a Minor Under 12.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are likely.
