Paducah man facing drug charges after tip about meth sales

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces drug charges after the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office receive a tip alleging he was using and selling methamphetamine.

James Q. Guiling, 62, of Paducah faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd or greater offense (>or= 2GMS methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree (amphetamine) and drug paraphernalia-buy/possess.

On October 2, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office Drug Division detectives received information alleging Guiling was using and selling methamphetamine in and around Paducah and McCracken County.

During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Guiling’s home on Adams Street in Paducah.

Detectives and deputies executed the search warrant around 3 p.m. on Oct. 2.

They found methamphetamine, amphetamine pills, and items of drug paraphernalia including methamphetamine smoking pipes, digital scales, and plastic baggies, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Guiling was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
