Paducah man facing drug charges after traffic stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces drug charges after sheriff’s deputies stopped a driver for a traffic violation.
Dakota James Walden, 26, of Paducah, faces charges of possession of marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine) greater than 2 grams and trafficking in a controlled substance, 3rd degree, 2nd offense greater than 20 dosage units.
McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Malibu on Valley Street for a traffic violation around 6:02 p.m. on June 7.
A front seat passenger was identified as Dakota Walden.
Deputies searched the vehicle and say Walden was in possession of 6 grams of marijuana, 17 grams of methamphetamine and more than 140 Xanax pills.
He was out on parole for prior drug trafficking charges at the time of this arrest.
Dakota Walden was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
