PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A Paducah man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple sex crimes following a joint investigation by the Paducah Police Department and the McCracken County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
On Nov. 4, 2025, a jury convicted Ray Allen of several counts of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and incest after a three-day trial. Investigators said some of the offenses occurred when the victim was under 12 years old. Allen was sentenced immediately following the guilty verdict.
The case began in 2023 when detectives from the Paducah Police Department launched an investigation into reports of sexual abuse. The investigation involved extensive collaboration between the department’s Criminal Investigations Division and prosecutors from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
“This verdict represents countless hours of dedicated work by our officers, who handled this case with professionalism and compassion for the victim,” said Police Chief Brian Laird. “Cases like this are a reminder of the importance of protecting the most vulnerable members of our community.”
