Paducah police ask for public’s help finding man accused of assault
PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Paducah police ask for the public’s help finding a man accused of assaulting another man Monday night in the parking lot of Irvin Cobb Apartments downtown.
Judson Lorinza Randolph, 48, of the 1200 block of Park Avenue, faces charges in warrants with second-degree assault and failure to comply with the sex offender registry.
The victim called police just after 9 p.m. Monday and told officers a man he knows as “J.D.” had hit him in the face and head with an unknown object in the parking lot of the apartment building at 600 Broadway. Officers said the victim’s face was cut and swollen. He was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment.
Det. Casey Steenbergen interviewed the victim, who told him what type of vehicle “J.D.” drives and where he lives. “J.D.” is Judson L. Randolph, who is a registered sex offender and not in compliance with the sex offender registry and has not registered as a sex offender in Kentucky, according to Paducah police.
Steenbergen obtained warrants charging Randolph with second-degree assault and failure to comply with the sex offender registry. Randolph also is charged in a Texas warrant with failure to comply with the sex offender registry.
