Paducah Police Department to host prescription drug take-back event

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) – The Paducah Police Department, in partnership with McCracken County ASAP, will host a prescription drug take-back event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brockenborough Rotary Health Park, 421 N. 13th Street, Paducah.

Community members can bring expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs (pills and patches only) for safe disposal.

The event will take place during the Rotary Club of Paducah’s Park-A-Palooza, a free family event with games, health screenings and food.

The event aims to prevent prescription drug misuse and theft. Medicines left in home cabinets are susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse, contributing to accidental poisonings and overdoses.

This service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.

Only pills and patches will be accepted. Liquids, needles and sharps will not be accepted.

The Paducah Police Department encourages residents to participate in protecting their families and community.
