PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Police Department is reminding drivers and passengers to wear seat belts as Memorial Day travel begins.
The department said motorists can expect to see increased law enforcement patrols as part of the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign running May 18-31.
Officials said the campaign is aimed at reminding drivers about the importance of seat belt use and the potential fines for failing to buckle up.
Police encouraged travelers to wear seat belts and drive safely during the holiday period.
