Paducah police make arrests in connection with early morning shooting incident
PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Authorities have made arrests in connection with an early morning shooting incident yesterday that left three women injured.
According to detectives, the shooting occurred in the 900 block of Boyd Street. A 20-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were treated locally before being transported to an out-of-state hospital. As of this morning, the 20-year-old woman remains on life support, while the 23-year-old woman is listed in critical but stable condition.
A third woman, 28, was treated at a local hospital and released.
Detectives have determined that multiple individuals were shooting during the incident. Two men have been charged in connection with the shooting.
Jystacye D. Pitts, 20, of Union City, Tennessee, has been charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after admitting to firing a gun in a crowded area.
Capus J. Adams has been charged with multiple offenses after officers witnessed him shooting in the direction of several people. Adams fled on foot, discarding the firearm during the pursuit. He was arrested after a brief chase, and the weapon was recovered.

Pitts and Adams are being held at the McCracken County Jail.
