Paducah police to host prescription drug take-back event Saturday

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — The Paducah Police Department will partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration and McCracken County ASAP to host a prescription drug take-back event Saturday.

The event is part of the Spring 2026 National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Purchase District Health Department, 916 Kentucky Ave.

Officials said the event offers residents a safe and anonymous way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.

Only pills and patches will be accepted. Liquids, needles, syringes, vapes and inhalers will not be collected.

Participants can drive through, drop off medications and leave without being asked questions, officials said.
