PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The City of Paducah is preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bob Noble Park in 2026 with a series of events and a community tree-planting initiative.

As part of the “Noble Park 100” campaign, city officials and volunteers plan to plant 100 trees throughout the year to enhance the park’s landscape and increase species diversity. Paducah Parks and Recreation is seeking sponsors to help fund the effort.

“This campaign is more than a beautification project — it’s an investment in the future of Paducah,” Parks and Recreation Director Amie Clark said. “By increasing tree diversity, introducing younger trees and expanding shaded areas, this effort will improve environmental health, elevate visitor experience and preserve the park’s legacy.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, ranging from $200 for one tree to $2,000 for 10 trees.

Assistant Director of Recreation Taylor Morsching, who is coordinating the initiative, said the project allows the community to take part in the park’s milestone.

“Each tree planted will serve as a lasting tribute to the park’s legacy while helping ensure its beauty and sustainability for generations to come,” Morsching said.

Tree species and placement will be determined by the department, with planting scheduled for spring and fall 2026. Sponsorships will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to the planting effort, Parks and Recreation will host a four-day anniversary celebration from July 30 through Aug. 2. Planned activities include concerts, movies in the park, children’s events, a history walk, a pop-up farmers market and discounted admission to Noble Park Pool.

Bob Noble Park was established in 1926 after Robert H. Noble donated $10,000 for its creation. The park has since grown to include amenities such as playgrounds, sports courts, an amphitheater, a skatepark, dog parks and the Greenway Trail.
