Paducah woman faces public intoxication, meth charges

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah woman faces public intoxication and drug charges after sheriff’s deputies say she resisted arrest.

Nikala Mize, 29, of Paducah faces charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest and possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine)

Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Cario Road and Vance Lane for the report of a suspicious female on April 7 about 8:30 a.m.

It was reported that a female wearing all-black clothing was walking on Cario Road, and going up to random houses.

Deputies found her on Craven Drive.

Mize was found to be intoxicated and was arrested after putting up a brief struggle, according to the sheriff’s office.

No one was injured in the struggle.

Deputies say Mize was in possession of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

She was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
