Paducah woman facing drug charges after traffic stop

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah woman faces drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop Monday evening.

McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 35-year-old Leanna Alexander.

She faces charges of operating on a suspended license, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on February 19 on Irvin Cobb Drive in Paducah.

Alexander was identified as the drive. Deputies knew she was driving with a suspended driver’s license and was on probation for drug offenses.

During the roadside investigation, Alexander admitted that she had drugs and paraphernalia concealed on her, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies recovered approximately six grams of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe, marijuana, doses of Xanax, and $1043 in cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Alexander was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
