Parkinson’s Disease support group offered at Cape Girardeau Public Library

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – There was a group meeting at the Cape Girardeau Public Library for people who have Parkinson’s Disease.

The goal of the group is to share information and treatments to make life easier for individuals with Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s support group facilitator Desma Reno says the purpose of the groups is to help each other.

“If you yourself have Parkinson’s or you had a loved one that has the disease it’s a wonderful group for individuals to come and to meet other people who also have the disease so they can share with each other information that can help their lives be more full and able to lose more productive life,” said Reno.

It’s no cost to attend.

The group meets every second Monday of each month at Cape Girardeau Public Library.
