Parma man sentenced to prison on rape charge
PARMA, Mo., (KBSI) – A Parma man, Kenneth W. Rye, was sentenced to three years in prison on July 8 for a rape charge connected to a child enticement investigation.
He had previously pleaded guilty to second-degree statutory rape.
The investigation began in July 2024 when Rye was accused of attempting to connect with an 11-year-old girl.
The New Madrid County sheriff’s office was alerted by Bikers Against Predators, a non-profit organization that works to expose child predators.
Rye will receive credit for any days already spent in incarceration.
In Missouri, where Rye was sentenced, child enticement is considered a Class C felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and fines up to $20,000.
