Partial building collapse closes portion of West Malone Avenue in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A portion of West Malone Avenue is closed after a building partially collapsed Friday in Sikeston.

According to the City of Sikeston, the building at 127 W. Malone Ave. suffered a partial collapse.

West Malone Avenue is closed between **New Madrid Street and Scott Street** while crews work to secure the area.

City officials are asking motorists to avoid the area until the roadway reopens.
