Patton man arrested after 1-year-old boy sustains traumatic injuries

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Patton man faces charges after emergency responders were called for a one-year-old boy with traumatic injuries.
Dalton Chapman of Patton faces charges of domestic assault 1st degree (Class A felony), endangering the welfare of a child – serious physical injury (Class B felony) and resisting/interfering with the arrest of a felony (Class E felony).
Bollinger County Sheriff Casey A. Graham says the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office, along with first responders and emergency medical services responded to a call of a one-year-old boy with traumatic injuries.
The child was taken to a pediatric hospital for medical treatment.
Members of the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive investigation into the nature of the incident and the individuals involved, according to Sheriff Graham.
Dalton Chapman of Patton was placed under arrest.
On Tuesday, April 26, a warrant was issued by the Honorable Judge Alan Beussink for Dalton’s arrest pertaining to the investigation.
The arrest warrant was issued with no bond. Chapman was taken to the Bollinger County Jail.
The North Bollinger County Fire District First Responders, Bollinger County Ambulance Service, AirEvac, the staff at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, Missouri Children’s Division, and the Deputies of Bollinger County provided extensive work from the beginning of this investigation which led to the victim receiving proper medical treatment and the arrest.
