Pedestrian injured in crash with vehicle in Marion, IL

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – A pedestrian was injured was injured in a vehicle Thursday morning in Marion.

The Marion Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at the intersection of E. DeYoung Street and Washington Street on November 16 about 8:08 p.m.

Officers found a man lying in the road with severe injuries, according to the Marion Police Department.

He is identified as Harold R. Cloud, 67, of Marion. He was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center and then to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. where he is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, Dane Clark, 69, of Marion, was not injured.

Wiitnesses say Cloud stepped into the road in the path of Clark’s vehicle.

The Illinois State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle officers and Crash Reconstruction officers continuing to investigate the crash.
