Pedestrian seriously injured in Poplar Bluff; hit by Jeep

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — A 29-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a Jeep at an intersection in Poplar Bluff early Tuesday.

The crash occurred around 5:20 a.m. at Westwood Boulevard and West Pine Street, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian, a Poplar Bluff man, was walking in the roadway when he was hit. He was taken to a hospital in Cape Girardeau.

The driver, a 58-year-old Poplar Bluff woman, was not injured.
