PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education has approved the appointments of Lacey Amschler as principal of Perryville Primary Center and Michael-Ann Kellerman as assistant principal of Perry County Middle School.
The appointments were approved during a special meeting Monday, Feb. 23. Both administrators will begin their new roles with the start of the 2026-27 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Fara Jones said both educators bring years of experience serving District 32 students.
Amschler previously served five years as assistant principal at Perryville Primary Center from 2019 to 2024 before returning to the classroom. She also has eight years of experience as a fourth-grade teacher at Perryville Elementary School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University and a master’s degree in administration from William Woods University.
She replaces Emily Koenig, who is leaving the district after 25 years to become superintendent of the Chaffee R-II School District. Amschler will work alongside Assistant Principal Abigale Harris.
Kellerman will enter her first administrative role after 20 years in education, including service as a counselor at Perry County Middle School since 2020 and 13 years as a fifth-grade teacher in the district. She previously taught kindergarten at Immanuel Lutheran School in Perryville. Kellerman holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University, a master’s degree in administration from William Woods University and a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Central Arkansas.
Kellerman replaces Stacey Versemann, who was recently appointed as District 32’s chief academic officer. She will serve alongside Perry County Middle School Principal Nick Cowell.
